Become A UPG Trustee

Become an URBAN PARTNERSHIP GROUP trustee, Make a difference in our community.

The Urban Partnership Group (UPG) is a community and regeneration organisation based at the Masbro Centre in West London. The organisation offers a wide range of activities. These are delivered across centres in Hammersmith and Fulham, Masbro Centre, Edward Woods Centre, and 49 Brook Green.

Activities include those for under fives, youth and older people. Community Champion volunteering opportunities and support services, educational and personal development courses and careers guidance.

Through these projects we enhance the health, wealth and wellbeing of our centre users. The organisation is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

The Board of Trustees provide support, and challenge constructively. They use their networks and knowledge to support UPG’s development and success. They ensure that we are delivering good outcomes, and using our funds appropriately. They have a good grasp of the risks, and suggest effective plans that we can put in place to manage them.

The Board meets four times a year for meetings which last up to 2 hours, and we do our best to work these flexibly around our Board’s other commitments. We ask Trustees to commit to attending these meetings and to read the papers which are sent out in advance. We also encourage Trustees to visit our services occasionally, to meet our service users, volunteers and staff.

If you share our values of inclusion and empowerment, have the time to commit to this, and some relevant experience that will add value to the Board, we want to hear from you.

We particularly welcome people with experience or skills in any of the following areas:

* Growing an organisation/fundraising (voluntary or private sector)

* Human Resources

* Marketing/Public Relations/communications
